Professor Steve Hordinski - Gracie Colorado Founder and Head Instructor

Professor Steve Hordinski began his martial arts career with Kenpo Karate and became a Kenpo Karate black belt.

He later enlisted into the Navy and served 11 years, with the majority of his enlistment as a Deep-Sea Navy Diver.

In 1997 while in the Navy, he started training Jiu-Jitsu with Phil Cardella.
This is where Steve began his journey in the art of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.

His hard work and dedication to learn Gracie Jiu-Jitsu led him to live with the man that would change his life forever, Master Relson Gracie.

Through the careful guidance and vast knowledge of Relson, Steve worked tirelessly and ultimately received his black belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu from the son of Grandmaster Helio Gracie.
The foundation of his teaching is helping students understand the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu system.

Steve brings the original teachings of the Gracie family and wisdom of the Gracie’s to his academy in Littleton, Colorado.

Steve shows that Jiu-Jitsu is more than just a sport or exercise regime.
Steve’s lessons are not only inside the academy, he also plays a strong role in the community by adding effective self-defense, women's self-defense and
anti-bullying seminars.

His journey has virtually become a religious experience.

Steve continues to build a (positive lifestyle) through his ever-increasing family of both old and new Gracie Jiu-Jitsu students.

The quiet, humble professor we have today continues to inspire students with traits like:
Respect, Honor, Discipline, Courage, Commitment and Family Values at Relson Gracie Colorado.

Steve heads up Colorado’s main Academy located in Littleton, CO and oversees all of the Relson Gracie Colorado locations.
